FROM FATHER STEVE:

I continue to draw strength and support from the hundreds of “get well” cards that I have received.  As a patient, I realize all the more how important these simple expressions of love can be.  Thank you!  It’s especially gratifying to hear from so many of the children in the parish.

My healing process continues slowly but surly.  My stitches were removed last week.  Each day I do some physical exercises and a physical therapist visits three times each week.  Sleeping has been challenging—especially since I have to wear that chest brace!

I want to thank all of you who are helping me during my time of recovery—parish nurses; those providing meals; Fathers Bernie LaMontagne and Leopold Keffler for their weekend coverage; those bringing holy communion; Mike Hurt for transporting me to my doctors; Mike and Suzanne Tzouanankis for their great housekeeping and Betty Lancaster for going the extra mile to coordinate all of this!  And, thanks to all you parishioners for your continued prayers and support.

Finally, how about those Super Bowl Champions?  The Colts have taught us how to strive for excellence.  We can only do this by working together, being highly committed, and respecting and loving one another.  This is not a bad paradigm for the Christian life.

Father Steve

Cards can still be sent to:

Fr. Stephen Jarrell

 202 E. Washington St.

*** There is a basket in the narthex for your cards which will now be delivered daily.
